Loneliness, desire, love, physical contact, violence, power, subjection, possession, honesty, dissimulation… The tense theatrical pulsation of male and female roles, loneliness and togetherness, suffering and happiness, intimacy and objectivity oblige us to recognise ourselves.
There are five dancers on the stage, who observe the struggle of others outside and from a distance, motionlessly and like a stranger, while at other times they become the protagonists of these battles. How can one person become real to the other, if at all? Can the desire for someone remain unfulfilled forever? Frenák’s haunting question is how much our lives are permeated by the opportunism towards the Other and ourselves.

Quarter of a century is a full human generation, and many dancers dream of staying in the profession for such a long time. Even among the social, economic and cultural tempests of the turn of the millennia, the 25-year-old Botafogo Dance Ensemble has managed to remain a pure island, the shores of which can only be trodden by pure-hearted dancers.
