Variations
Varidance – Bertalan Vári Company
Bertalan Vári is not a slave to convention. He will change, if he feels he needs a higher gear. He was taught by excellent masters, is a member of renowned companies, Harangozó Award winning dancer, choreographer – this is how we learnt his name. Then he and some others founded a company and staged successful whole evening productions. This was when we learnt about his independent artistic creative power.

Then he and some others founded a company and staged successful whole evening productions. This was when we learnt about his independent artistic creative power.
Now he is introducing his own new company: he is stepping into the limelight with them to celebrate the beginning of a new era with a dance evening selected from the most successful pieces of choreography of the previous period. The audience of the National Dance Theatre will be first to see the programme entitled Variations by the talented, committed and excellently trained team of VARIDANCE.

VARIDANCE draws on the extremely diverse Hungarian cultural treasure; it amalgamates the elements of traditional folk dance with various other dance styles (including tap, hip-hop, contemporary among others) and other genres (like circus, theatre, film) and turns them into a unique, modern style.
